Between the Bridges
This flood-prone, low-lying 100-acre site is immediately adjacent to Harrisburg’s downtown area. Historically, the area has functioned as a warehouse/distribution district as a result of its central location and easy accessibility to the larger metropolitan region. The area is bounded on the west side by the railroad tracks and on the east by the severe topography adjacent to Cameron Street. SRE completed a planning study that included extensive interviews with local business leaders and economic development interests, an inventorying of land use and structure condition, options analyses, and financial modeling of the proposed redevelopment opportunities.
