The Martin Mansion

HISTORY

The Martin Mansion – located at 145 E. Market St., a few doors down from its namesake Martin Library, was originally built by Milton Martin in 1895 as his personal residence. Martin was a leading industrialist and entrepreneur who manufactured horse carriages and founded the Guardian National Bank.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Today, a partnership formed by Susquehanna Real Estate is planning to convert the Mansion, most recently used as law offices, into spacious, custom, high quality, feature and technology filled residential condominiums. Over the years, Susquehanna Real Estate has been an active developer in downtown York, often taking a leading position in bringing impactful well designed successful projects to the market such as 96 South George, The Susquehanna Commerce Center, The Lofts on George and Court House Commons.

With the first unit reserved, the development team hopes to begin construction later this year by procuring at least one additional commitment.
